The Microscale Sensing Actuation and Imaging (MoSAIc) REU will provide participants with a ten-week research experience focusing on fundamental research experiences related to 1) Design and manufacturing of micro/nanoscale sensors, actuators and smart materials; and 2) Advanced imaging and diagnostic systems. The REU students will be active members of interdisciplinary research groups and will interact with faculty, post-doctoral associates, graduate students, and industrial partners. Examples of the available research projects and other program information can be found on the program website ( The research experiences will be complemented by cohort experiences including a suite of short courses, professional development and extracurricular activities.
